Did this people erect and sculpt this stones as offering to the spirits of the steppe? Is it just a sepulture zone delimitation? Or was it the warlike tribes Khunus and Xiongnu, mentioned in the old chinese texts? Those conqueror peoples used to spread panic is the whole Central Asia, and the great wall was built to protect the chinese empire from the assault of the Xiongnu hordes.
You will also discover the petroglyphes that adorn the basaltic rocks on the top of the valley. Drawings melting hunting scenes with wolwes, goats, stags, huntings with bows, in different styles...was simple everyday's representations, or some symbolic linked to a culte?

Questions to ask, ideas to share, with the archeologues that will be there to guide you to the heart of the past.
